Hi, I'm Leah!
An RN, BSN,
Holistic Pediatric Nurse Coach, and Mom of Three

After receiving my nursing degree in 2014, I first gained experience in a hospital setting. From neuro-trauma to pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, and postpartum, I continued to unfold as a nurse. Alongside my hospital gig, I began working at a local birthing center assisting midwives in supporting moms and babies through one of my favorite fields: natural labor, childbirth and postpartum care.

Despite doing “everything right,” my first born child developed eczema, an egg allergy, and a chronic diaper rash which drove my curiosity for pediatric gut health. Through time and a root-cause approach, my daughter healed. A similar story followed for my second and third babies, and hundreds of mamas I’ve worked with.

I saw a missing piece in my work as an RN in Western medicine. I saw Western medicine not providing answers moms and babies were needing, rather, it offering a “one-size-fits- all” approach. That’s why Blooming Motherhood was created. Within Blooming Motherhood, I specialize in reducing the risk of allergies and chronic health issues through first foods for littles. Often times this is an individualized approach, instead of that “one-size-fits-all” method. I have a deep appreciation for the partnership between modern and natural medicine, and empower moms to integrate these two at home.

I live in Missouri, with my husband and babies and enjoy relaxing in a hammock, working in the garden, cooking with my kids, dancing around the house, and hearing live music.

I have a wild passion for motherhood, food as medicine, and pediatric gut healing. From offering alternative solutions to “common” childhood conditions. teaching a conscious approach for first foods, or making transitions towards functional health, I’m honored to connect with you.
